EngageBay at a glance

The budget all-in-one — CRM, marketing, sales and service in one suite, with the entire price ladder published.

EngageBay All-in-one suite · budget HubSpot alternative

EngageBay's pitch is HubSpot's shape at a fraction of HubSpot's price: CRM, marketing automation, sales tools and a service desk in one suite, from free to $119.99 per user per month — and unlike half this category, the entire ladder is published, tier by tier. The tradeoffs are visible in the same table: pricing is per user, marketing automation only arrives at the $64.99 Growth tier, and email allowances are capped and EngageBay-branded on the lower plans.

Where it wins

  • Four products in one bill — CRM, marketing, sales and service desk
  • The whole ladder is published: every tier, contact cap and email cap in one table
  • A genuinely free CRM tier with live chat and helpdesk included
  • 30% lifetime recurring pricing transparency extends to discounts: 8% annual, 15% biennial, stated plainly
  • Phone support and an uptime SLA exist at the top tier — at $119.99, not $800

Where it costs you

  • Per-user pricing: a 4-person team on Growth is $260/mo, not $65
  • Marketing automation is absent from Free and Basic — the feature you came for starts at Growth
  • Email caps are tight and lower tiers send EngageBay-branded emails
  • Contact caps bind hard: Basic holds just 500 contacts
  • Jack-of-four-trades depth — each module is shallower than a dedicated tool

Pick it if

  • You want HubSpot's shape — marketing plus sales plus service — on a bootstrap budget
  • You're a small team that needs a service desk in the same bill
  • You want every price published before you talk to anyone

Look elsewhere if

  • You have a big list and a small team — per-contact platforms price better
  • You need deep, documented automation — Growth's builder is thinly specified
  • Email volume is high: 25,000 sends/mo caps a 5,000-contact list at 5×
Before you commit — reading the ladder correctly
What you'll actually pay

Multiply by seats before comparing. Growth at $64.99/user/mo is $59.79 on annual billing (8% off) or $55.24 biennial (15%) — but that's per person. A four-person team runs $260/mo monthly, about $2,868/yr on annual billing. Still roughly a quarter of HubSpot Professional's $800/mo plus $3,000 onboarding — the comparison EngageBay is built to win — but far from the sticker figure.

Where automation actually starts

Free and Basic include email sequences and (from Basic) lead scoring, but the marketing automation builder — workflows, triggers, branching — arrives at Growth, $64.99/user/mo. If automation is why you're shopping, Growth is the real entry price; Free and Basic are a CRM with email attached.

The email caps, in practice

1,000 branded sends on Free, 3,000 on Basic, 25,000 on Growth, 50,000 on Pro. Growth's cap works out to 5× its 5,000-contact allowance — half of Benchmark's 10× ratio, nowhere near Moosend's unlimited. And "branded" means EngageBay's badge rides on lower-tier emails. Heavy senders should do this arithmetic first.

The free tier is a real CRM

250 contacts, 1,000 emails, CRM, live chat, helpdesk, a landing page and two sequences — for teams of up to 15 people, at $0. As a free customer-service-plus-CRM starter it's arguably the most complete $0 offering on this site; as an email marketing free tier it's the smallest. Know which one you're evaluating.

What we could not verify

Automation depth — workflow counts, trigger types and step limits aren't documented on the pricing page. Onboarding or migration services. Deliverability claims. All figures read from engagebay.com/pricing on 23 August 2026; gaps marked, not guessed.

How EngageBay's suite actually works

Four modules, one contact database — read from engagebay.com's own pricing page.

CRM Core

The shared contact database everything else runs on, included from the free tier up — with live chat and a helpdesk beside it at $0, which no other platform on this site offers free. Deal pipelines, call records (Growth) and proposals (Growth) build on it as you climb the ladder.

Marketing automation Automate

The workflow builder lands at the Growth tier alongside push notifications, A/B testing and service automation. Below that, Basic offers email sequences, templates, SMS marketing and lead scoring — real tools, but linear ones. EngageBay doesn't document workflow limits or trigger types on the pricing page, so evaluate the builder's depth inside the free trial of Growth features before committing a complex funnel to it.

Sales & service Close

What justifies "all-in-one": sales pipelines, appointment scheduling, proposals and call records on the sales side; ticketing, live chat and service automation on the support side — one bill, one database. The service desk is the module rivals here simply don't have; if you'd otherwise pay for a helpdesk separately, price that into the comparison.

Email marketing Send

Campaigns, templates, pop-ups and landing pages (1 free, 10 on Basic) with sends capped per tier — 1,000 / 3,000 / 25,000 / 50,000 branded emails a month. The branding on lower tiers and the tight caps make EngageBay a weak pick for email-first businesses; the email module is the connective tissue of the suite, not its selling point.

The top tier Scale

Pro at $119.99/user/mo adds web analytics, custom reporting, SSO, a dedicated account manager, an uptime SLA and phone support. That last pair is notable: guaranteed uptime and a phone number usually live in four-figure enterprise tiers — HubSpot's phone support starts at $800/mo — and here they cost less than an eighth of that, per user.

Common questions about EngageBay

Free for 250 contacts and 1,000 emails; then $14.99 (Basic), $64.99 (Growth) or $119.99 (Pro) per user per month, with 8% off annual and 15% off biennial billing — all published on the pricing page. The number to watch is "per user": a four-person team on Growth is about $260/mo, not $65.
In shape, yes — CRM, marketing, sales and service in one suite, which is exactly HubSpot's architecture. In depth and ecosystem, no: HubSpot has 2,000+ integrations, deep attribution and an enterprise product; EngageBay is shallower in every module. The honest framing: EngageBay at ~$2,900/yr for four people versus HubSpot Professional at $9,600/yr plus $3,000 onboarding — you're trading depth for roughly a quarter of the price.
If you came for marketing automation: Growth, full stop — the workflow builder doesn't exist below it. Free is a real CRM-plus-helpdesk starter, and Basic adds sequences, SMS and lead scoring, but both are linear-email tiers. Pro is for teams that need analytics, SSO, phone support or the uptime SLA.
Sends on the lower tiers carry EngageBay's branding — their badge on your emails. Combined with tight caps (1,000/mo free, 3,000 on Basic), the email module on cheap tiers is functional but visibly budget. If unbranded email at volume matters, you're shopping Growth and up, or an email-first platform instead.
Both are small-business suites; the split is budget versus depth-of-service. Keap starts at $299/mo flat with two users, includes invoicing, payments and a text allowance, and expects a paid implementation. EngageBay starts free, prices per user, and adds a genuine service desk Keap lacks. Bootstrap teams that need support tooling lean EngageBay; revenue-mature service businesses that invoice through their CRM lean Keap.
Everything here was read directly from engagebay.com's own pricing page on 23 August 2026 — which, credit where due, publishes more of its numbers than almost anyone else we track. The one real gap is automation depth, which isn't documented there; evaluate it in the free tier before you buy.
